  I'm new to the Ocala area. My last MD I had for over 30 years and she was great! I tried to other doctors in the Ocala area before I found Dr. Joy Maldonado. She and her staff are excellent. The only problem I find here, and it's not Dr. Maldonado, is that you call for an appointment for an issue that is troubling you and the soonest they can get you in is most often, four to six weeks in the future. The advice they give you is to go to the emergency room if you can't wait. Anyone in their right mind does NOT EVER want to go to the ER, unless they are leaking pints of blood or have a REAL emergency. Go for Dr. Maldonado. She and her staff and EXCELLENT. Again,, you might have to wait for an appointment, but she is WORTH IT!
