  I have been an employee with Brentwood for 2.5 years and have never felt such a sense of family camaraderie than I do with Brentwood. In the wake of recent events with hurricane Irma we opened our facility to our sister facility from St. Augustine for evacuees and also had family and residents family evacuate to us as well. Our director Laura Politz did the most amazing job to make sure our building ran as smooth as possible during this stressful trying time. People from every department really pulled together and made that happen. I overheard numerous times from residents and their family members at what a great job everyone did to make it through. Laura made sure that we were very well prepared and did an AMAZING job! Brentwood has always felt like family and I am honored to be a part of this team and know that we can and will handle any situation that may come our way.

  I just came back from visiting my Dad at Brentwood at Fore Ranch. He had a stroke 2 weeks ago. If it wasn't for Laura Politz (Exective Director), our Dad probably would not be with us today. Laura called me and explained all the procedures what could be done to reverse the stroke but I had a small window. They rushed Dad to the local hospital right around the corner. Gave him this drug through IV and within an hour our father started talking normal again. He is doing fantastic! Dad has been at Brentwood for 5 years. He became a resident on St. Patrick's day. I tried to have him move in with us but he said Brentwood is like family and his friends are here. He loves it there. The staff is so wonderful to him. Facilities are beautiful, very clean and the food is excellent. It feels more like a 5* hotel. When the hospital called me and told me I had 26 minutes to make a decision to give our Dad the drug I remembered what Laura told me. She was very calm, explained everything to me quickly and I put my total trust in her. I hope she stays at Brentwood for ever. She has such a love and concern for all the residents and family members. If you read this and are considering putting your loved one at Brentwood, I think you will be extremely pleased. Our family is so Blessed to have the Brentwood family taking care of our Dad. Thank you! From the Bogath family.
